Fun with LOLs

Kale had been LOL'd. He didn't know it, because he never heard of it. And it was a very subtle thing anyway. Just a switch of perspective, really, from light to dark.

As he reentered Revan's house from the Nexus, he looked around thoughtfully. Training lightsabers. Now, where would those be? Without a care for privacy, he systematically searched the house, taking note of useful things around.

The lightsabers were found, eventually. Flipping them around (off obviously) he made his way down to the basement. He flopped down on the bed and picked through the data pads around as he studied the star map.

The route to the Sith Temple didn't look too difficult. Especially if he found the right portal in the Nexus. As for a ship, he could always steal Tobias'. Shouldn't be too hard to pilot.

Though, he's going to wait for Tobias first and have some fun.

Revan just might take grievance to that; he keeps things in order for a reason.

And Tobias does eventually show up, hopping down the stair on one leg because he'd finally put that rope in. Though he hesitates as he takes the last step off. Something doesn't feel right.

"Kale?"

Bah. Order is for sissies. The weak. The people who will get shanked because the thief now knows where everything is placed.

When Kale sees Tobias, he smiles, "I got the training lightsabers!"

See, perfectly normal. Yup. Yup.

If that opinion was voiced to Revan, there would be a very high chance of either hitting or electrocution. Or, if nothing else, nightmares.

Tobias isn't entirely reassured by the smile, but it helps.

He smiles back. "Excellent. Rev'ika didn't mind, then?"

Which is why the opinion is not going to be voiced to Revan. Kale knows when he's outclassed. Even if he did steal from said person.

"Hrm? Oh, no, I just took them," he says with a disinterested shrug.

This is a good thing. The not voicing, not the stealing.

He frowns a tad. "Stealing them? You do know he's protective about his weapons, right? Especially the ones he built himself." And he's hoping those aren't silver-bladed, or he's going to be in so much trouble...

Stealing is bad, yes. Bad Kale, no cookie.

"No, I didn't." There's something in his voice that indicates that even if he did know, he'd have done it anyway. He stands up and tosses Tobais a saber, before flicking on the other. Oh dear. He's in trouble. It is a silver blade.

Tobias snatches the 'saber out of the air, and quietly prays that the blade on his is a different color... but no. The Force has a cruel, cruel sense of humor. He grimaces and wags the blade at Kale.

"'Sabers Rev'ika built. For Carcer." He briefly contemplates letting Kale take all of the blame for it. But no. That would be mean of him.

Kale shrugs again. He obviously doesn't care.

"They'll work, won't they."

Tobias deactivates the blade, eyeing Kale carefully.

"Something's not right with you."

And he's eyed right back. Smiling, Kale flicks the saber off and tosses is lazily onto the bed. "I feel fine."

"Really? Because you don't feel fine from where I am." Force, now he's really reminding Tobias of Atton.

"How so?" And he looks so very innocent and utterly trust worthy. Nothing's wrong with him at all. Nope.

Ah, but he's well aware that looks can be deceiving. He learned that from Kreia. "You feel like J... Like Atton. You feel like the darkness."

Kale, "Darkness... hmmm..." And then he laughs as if he's just heard the funniest thing in the world.

Tobias raises an eyebrow. "Honestly that funny, is it?"

Kale meanders over to him, smiling. "Well, perhaps, perhaps."

Tobias isn't going to back up; it's not his style to retreat. "Perhaps?"

So, Kale gets closer, when he's about five feet away, he says, "Lots of things that can be funny." Then in a display of skill that wasn't there before, his hand flicks out and the training lightsaber leaps into his grip. It flicks on and he swipes at his master in a very controlled manner.

Tobias activates his training 'saber and blocks. "Now when did you get able to do that, Kale?" He tilts his head, bringing the lightsaber down to slash at Kale's legs.

Kale dances out of the way, a smile on his face. Again he strikes out at Tobias, before answering, "Must have picked it up from Trever."

Tobias hops out of the path of the blade, pulling his lightsaber up into a defensive posture. "Wouldn't be the only thing you've been picking up from him."

He pauses, eyes narrowing for a moment, before he shrugs and laughs. "Perhaps. Perhaps." He tends to laugh a lot when channeling the Dark Side. Strange and annoying.

When he strikes out again, it's very clear that while he knows the moves, he doesn't have the skill or the practice with them. The muscles aren't responding to what he wants like they would if he had been trained.

Headtilt! "Awfully giggly when you feel like the Dark Side, aren't you?"

He smiles slightly, parrying this time. "Looks like what you've picked up isn't working like you'd hope it would, eh?" He steps forward, flicking the blade precisely.

He stops laughing at that remark and for a moment it looks like he'd snarl in rage, but the moment passes and he shrugs calmly. "Apparently it does."

Kale blocks and steps back, grinning again, "If it did what I wanted, then I wouldn't need to be learning from you, now would I?"

Tobias nods, bringing his lightsaber into a defensive position again. "If it did, we'd probably be fighting in earnest, Kale. And I'm sure you know that well enough without me saying so."
