The twins lead Chuck to what appears to be a degrading military compound. Except the canons on the walls appear to be brand new. At least the door is open and yes, there are red heads walking in and out. A few of the people were small children, the oldest about ten, playing under the watchful eye of an older man. They don't appear to be threatening at all. Though a few of them do carry weapons, blasters.

"Welcome to what has been nick named Delvar Keep," Kale said with slight bow.

Chuck walks about carefully, wondering if he made a good decision following the twins here. So far, he feels okay, but probably was going to hear it from Sarah and Casey for wandering off.

"Uh, thanks!" Chuck answers a bit timidly, returning the bow.

Of course he made a good decision. They're not going to kill him.

"Don't mind the canons," Trever says. "Mom's gone a bit ... gun happy."

"She's always gun happy."

"Right. Anyway, we promise this is the safest place around. You couldn't get in here with a tank." Trever leads him into the base. It looks like they're in the middle of moving in, with crates and half done painting on the walls. One or two red heads give him a friendly wave.

Gun happy? Your mom and Casey would get along well. '

Chuck returns the waves politely as he enters the base. He then looks around glancing at the painting.

Yes, they would. Fear their meeting.

It appears that there's been some argument onto what color to paint the walls. And it also looks like small children have gotten into the paint from the hand prints on the walls.

Kale looked apologetic, "Sorry about the mess. We haven't moved in completely yet."

They lead Chuck into a training room, filled with lots of padding.

"No worries," Chuck replies.

Chuck glances around the padded room and swallows. This is almost how I imaged my holding cell...

Especially since their mom has future technology!

The twins shrug off their jackets and beckon Chuck to his doom center of the room. It's not completely padded there are bars and padded swords and all sorts of equipment.

"Stand there," Trever said pointing to a spot next to Kale. "I'll show you something on Kale and then we'll walk you through it. Sound good?"

Chuck nods. "O-okay."

"Excellent!" And Trever proceeds to knock Kale flat on his back. Kale hops up and glowers at him.

"We are not going to be showing you that right away," he says, looking like he wants to do the same thing with his twin.

Trever grins at Chuck and gives him a wink.

"So what are you going to show me then?" Chuck asks, puzzled.

Brushing himself off, Kale said, "That was the more advanced moves. When you know what you're doing. We're just going to be showing you some blocks and dodges."

"Okay," Chuck began as he took a sort of fighting stance, "I'm ready when you are."

Trever sighed. "Are you trying to like a clown? Here..." And he adjusted Chuck's stance. "You need to stay on the balls of your feet because you're going to be moving ... and keep balanced or else you're going to fall flat on your ass."

"Right...right, I knew that," Chuck replied with a bit of a nervous laugh. Actually, he felt silly not even knowing the basics.

"So, what's next?"

"No you didn't," Kale said cheerfully, "But that's okay."

Trever held up his hand, "Watch." And then he took a swing at Kale. Who this time did not fall flat on his ass, but instead ducked out of the way.

Chuck grinned. "Nice move."

Kale nodded his head with a grin. "Here," and Kale explained exactly what he did while gently moving Chuck through the actions. "Think you got it?"

"I...think so. So...what now? You want me to dodge your attack move? Cuz, I think I might be able to now."

Kale stepped back.

"Yup," Trever said and took a swing at him, rather like in that commercial spot.

Chuck jumps back, just missing getting hit. Of course by doing so, he lost his balance slightly and teetered to stay on his feet.

The twins clap. "Oh very nice," Kale says, and then explains what he did wrong and how to avoid losing his balance.

Trever then tries to hit him again.

This time Trevor connects and Chuck stands there, a bit stunned for a moment.

"Ow."

"... You're still standing. That's good," Trever says, while Kale does not snigger.

"Yeah...I guess I wasn't ready yet though. I'm ready now."

Kale waved a finger at him. "You can't do that, say you're ready now. Because really your opponent isn't going to wait until you say you're ready now."

"I know in real life they won't. But I gotta learn how to either block or dodge or something before I can fight in real time..."
