The two of them together, Kale and Trever, once they got past the original anger at each other, were like one person. They didn't talk to each other, but clearly communication happened, with a gesture, an expression or sometimes nothing at all. The two of them sat under the Ebon Hawk, fiddling with what appeared to be the shell of a droid.

Both of them were dressed alike and with heads bent over different pieces of machinery, it was nearly impossible to tell them apart. They didn't even talk as they worked. Occasionally one would hold out a hand and the other would put a tool in it, or give a spare part, or help hold something. Their movement was fluid, never a hesitation or a wondering what the other wanted. Never a touching to get the other's attention.

Even though they were working on two separate things, they were able to know what the other wanted.

He tries to reassure Kale that everything's going to fine through their bond, and leads the way into the storage room at the back of the ship where he's got a couple pillows set up on durasteel canisters as makeshift chairs.

"Feel free to sit." Which Tobias proceeds to do.

Trever flops onto one across from Tobias, much like Kale does. He then leans forward, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. Away from Kale, a difference can be seen. Trever's posture is a bit more haughty and hard than Kale's. Probably from his dealings with the Sith. There's also a bit of... wariness and fear, nearly hidden.

Tobias makes note of all this (even catching the wariness and fear, just barely). His own posture is much more open, but gives away his military service easily in the straightness of his back and the cant of his head.

"I'm not going to dance around this, because I frankly don't have the legs for it," he says. "Kale loves you, and he loves me. And he'd like to see us actually get along instead of... constantly fight for his attention and his affection. Honestly, I'd like the same thing, so if you don't mind, I want to extend the metaphorical olive branch to you." And maybe a Force Bond, but that'll be a little later, possibly, though he can't exactly control when that happens.

His first response is to bristle and say 'Mine' and it's quite obvious from his look that is what he wants to say. But he throttles it down.

"I don't know if I can do that," he says stiffly.

If he had he would have gotten bristly remarks concerning Carcer and Revan in response.

"Would you prefer to fight me over him, then? I'm certain he'd be miserable if we did," he replies gently.

He ducks his head in a very Kale gesture. Or perhaps it was just a gesture that the two of them used.

"I want him to be happy."

He'd like to think the latter than the former.

"Then we can at least try to get along? For his sake?" He smiles, just a touch. "And you might find I'm not such a horrible guy to be around."

Looking pensive, Trever thinks about this offer for a moment.

"And what do you want in return?"

"I don't need anything in return," he answers, honestly and without hesitation.

"Though it'd be nice to see you smile on occasion."

That does not get a smile though. His lips thin and he repeats. "What do you want?"

Well. "Just that you attempt to get along with me. That's all I ask. I don't want or need anything else."

"And Kale, what do you want with him?" Because if you hurt him I'll kill you.

He raises his eyebrows. "If you think I mean him or you any harm, you're very mistaken; I don't hurt people when I don't have to."

'When I don't have to'. Good choice of words there Tobias. Trever immediately stiffens up, eyes narrowing, lips pressing together.

"Then what is your interest in my brother, sir?"

Well, it's the truth. He hadn't wanted to kill Kreia or Sion or Nihilus, but they'd hardly left him a choice. He leans forward a bit to look Trever right in the eye.

"I'm training him, as I have with others before. And if it's what you want and what you think will make him happy, it can go back to being just that. My interest in him is to keep him as a friend as long as he'll let me."

He makes a frustrated noise. He's obviously not getting his point across.

"No, this isn't what we want. This is what you want."

He rumbles deep in his throat.

"I'm telling you the truth, Trever. All I've said is all that I want." Aside from things that neither of them can help him with.

"No.. no... that can't be." He shakes his head licking his lips before staring at Tobias and trying to get into his mind. With Kale so near, he's quite strong because he's able to draw on his twin's power.

He twitches his head back at any initial prodding, but eventually he settles and lets him in willingly. "I'm not like them, Trever. I'm an honest man." And it's obvious from his mind that he is, among other things, including that Wound in the Force thing.

The Wound in the Force bit Trever knew from Kale. And yes, he finds that Tobias is a honest man. Which is kinda irritating. On an impulse, still connected to Tobias, Trever gets up and kisses the other man.

Tobias blinks, startled and somewhat perplexed, and getting an odd feedback loop, feeling him kissing Trever kissing him. After a few moments he pulls back to look at him a little better.

And Trever's studying him back thoughtfully, a blank look on his face.

Tobias's eyes are unreadable. He is pondering kissing him again, just in the back of his mind, but he keeps a hand on his shoulder and just observes him.

Really not a good thing because Kale has just walked in. It looks like he was cleaning his hands, but instead he's just standing there, staring at the two of them.

He notices Kale's presence rather quickly, and releases Trever's shoulder and gets to his feet. "I'm glad we were able to come to an accord, Trever."
