Kale bounced up the steps from the basement intending to head to the kitchen to grab lunch like foods for him and Tobias. They had been working on Jedi like things all morning, mostly it was Kale getting his ass handed to him. But surprisingly he did a lot better than usual. He felt good and energetic. Happier than usual.

Obviously this meant sugary snacks.

Axis is in a piss-poor mood, and back in his older body - John had asked to go home because he didn't want to be part of the Mando beating on the AV field.

He's just dropping by to see if he can snitch an orange from his son, and to check up on him, but of course the first person he runs into... "You," he practically snarls. "I thought I told you to leave."

Kale stops in mid-sandwich making (which is really the only thing he's good at making) and stares curiously at Axis.

"Did you now?"

Axis does think the curious look is a bit odd, but he interprets it wrong and growls at Kale.

"Quit trying to be cute with me, it doesn't work. You're just lucky my son isn't around."

Shoving the knife back into the mayo jar, Kale says, "Tobias and I are currently in the process of leaving. However if you expect us to just up and leave with nowhere to go..."

"Oh, I would love it if you did, after how poorly you've treated my Dann'ika, but he has the authority in this house, not me, and he's too compassionate to do that." Axis tries to imply in his tone that he wouldn't be so kind if it was up to him. "But believe me, if you call him weak again, you're mine."

"Did I call him weak? I don't recall doing that. I remember laughing my head off at him... though..." he pauses, as if weighing his next words carefully. "It wouldn't surprise me if I did."

He's just a hair's breadth away from saying 'c'mere, I'm gonna kick your ass' when he stops and ponders that. "... Pardon?"

"You're obviously recalling conversations that you haven't had with me. Perhaps you met an alternate? Cause I've been here all day."

"I doubt any of your alternates would have been around long enough to know my son and say that he has been 'collared like a bitch'."

Kale sniggers. "Oh, I'd definitely remember that one."

Axis's scowl and withering glare are far more effective in this body.

He stops sniggering and shrugs. "I still stand by my statement."

"That really isn't helping with my desire to toss you out of this house right now, just so you know," he growls. "It also doesn't help with the issue of who I was talking to in the Nexus if you've been here all day."

"Unfortunately, I can't help you with that one, because I wasn't there." Kale goes back to making sandwiches.

Axis rumbles deep in throat and picks up an orange, giving it a light toss and catching it again. "Such a help, you Jetii. If you see Revan, tell him I'm looking for him."

"Jetii Sith... all the same isn't it? Two sides of the same coin."

"Strange thing to say, coming from you. Neither of them have much honor, collectively. Just have to respect the Sith a little bit more, is all."

Kale's a bit in Trever's head right now. Their minds are MERGING! VULCAN MIND MELD!! *coughs*

"Trever'll probably agree with you on that."

"Oh really now? Actual pride for what he is, or just the usual Sith ego?"

Hrm. Trever. Now there's something he hadn't considered before now...

Kale shrugs, "I have no idea. You'd have to ask him."

"Clearly," Axis muses thoughtfully before he starts to peel the orange.

"Though he always takes pride in what he does."

"Mm. And do you take pride in what he does?"

Kale hesitates here, clearly conflicted and not sure how to answer. This close to Trever it's hard to separate himself from his twin.

Axis raises his eyebrows and lets out an almost growling-grunt, questioning. After all, he might want to have a private discussion with Tobias, depending on the answer.

"I... don't know," he finally admits.

He nods slightly, seemingly satisfied with that answer.

Kale tugs at his gloves nervously for a moment.

"You didn't seem this nervous the last time I talked about your brother," Axis says, touching his hair where the blaster bolt had just grazed him.

"Yeah... well... he wasn't so close before."

"So close?" He exhales noisily. "So it was your dear brother who was mocking my son."

For a moment, Kale's eyes lose focus and then he nods. "Yeah... I guess so."

Axis only just resists the urge to proclaim that he's going to kill Trever. "Well, he's not particularly helping your image, running amok like that. And I'd hate to see what he'd manage if he convinced your master that he's you."

"I would certainly hope Tobias would be able to tell who is who." After all we are force bonded and all.

"So would I, but I've heard that twins can 'sound' mentally the same, in some cases." His younger body explained it to him, actually.

Absently putting the mayo away, Kale thinks that one over. "Oh... yes. I suppose we might."

"Hence the potential problem for your dear teacher." He doesn't mean it mockingly; he's heard and read enough about the Exile that he can give him a little grudging respect, at least.

Kale has a lot of respect for Tobias and he would snipe, but he has a bit of a headache and not really in the mood for a fight now that he knows that Trever really is around. Instead he shakes his head a little.

"I'm sorry... look... I know we didn't get off on the best foot... we got off on a kinda strange foot...but...it's kinda weird between me and Trever."

It's nothing personal against Tobias, Axis just doesn't have a good rapport with Jedi; he doesn't like them and they generally don't like him. Besides, there's very few people out there that he respects at all.

"Which is why you shot at me?" He waves a hand. "It's none of my business, anyway."

But Kale wants to try and make him understand. "We're the same person."

Axis pauses and raises an eyebrow. "You're the same person? In different bodies?"

"Sort of..."He makes a frustrated noise. "I don't know how to explain it."

"Well, that'd make two of us," he replies, leaning on the cabinet.

"When we're apart... there's two of us, but when we're together it's like there's only one." He tosses cheese on the sandwiches and goes to see what sort of meat there is. "We're separate... but barely."
