Dream 2

Drunk, Kale fell onto his couch, pulling up the blanket and fell into a deep sleep.


He stood on a vast plane of glass. Above him were the stars and worlds of the galaxy. From the Inner Rim to the Outer Rim. All visible, hanging like ornaments. Looking down he saw his face reflected in the glass and darkness below it.

He knelt down to touch his reflection, as if he had never seen it before. As he touched it, the glass rippled and his hand went through it. A hand grabbed his and he pulled up.

He pulled up Trever. The two of them stared at each other for a moment, before Trever broke out into a smile.

"Kale! Where have you been?"

Kale smiled back, "Oh, here and there. You?"

"The same. You look good."

"Thanks. You do too." He paused. "I miss you."

Trever stepped up to him, closing the distance between them, so that they were just a breath away from each other. He reached up and brushed his hand across Kale's face. "Me too. When are you coming?"

"I don't know, I've gotten side tracked. I met a real Jedi!"

"No you didn't." And he shoved Kale.

"Yes, I did," Kale said, shoving back. They wrestled for a moment, Trever getting Kale in a headlock. He held him there for second and then let him go.

They grinned at each other and this time Kale touched his brother's face. Trever leaned into it. "Find me. I need you," he said before kissing Kale lightly and vanishing.



Turning over, Kale fell into a deeper sleep.

Tobias had gone to bed a long while before, but couldn't sleep. He'd wandered around the Nexus for a while before returning, taking the stairs carefully and quietly.

He pauses next to Kale, just watching him for a few moments, before heading over to his own bed.

And he falls off the couch with a thud and a yelp, tangled up in the blankets.

He pauses, turns, and heads back over. He's very slow in going into a crouch, but far less slow about gripping Kale's shoulder. "Kale?"

He scrunches up for a second and shivers.

He tightens his grip and shakes him a little. "Kale."

Kale leans against him, gripping a bit like a child waking from a nightmare. "Tobias?"

Tobias slips his arms around him, comforting. He can smell alcohol, not that he'll mention it. "I'm right here."

Yes, that'll get talked about later. Instead he curled up against him, clinging.

He shifts into a more comfortable position, sitting on the floor now, just holding onto him.

Kale is quiet, breathing heavily, clinging.

Tobias is perfectly fine with clinging, but if he sits on the floor any longer his leg's going to cramp up.

"Kale. I'm going to put us both on the bed. Is that okay?" It's asked quietly, carefully.

He nods and shifts to make it easier to get onto the bed.

He lifts Kale up and deposits them both on the bed, finally laying down and stretching out.

He watches for a bit before scooting in the direction of the armrest, so he can put his leg up.

"I'm glad you like it. We learned to make it strong in the Republic navy. It had to be, unless you wanted cranky soldiers for the rest of the day.

"Mom was a transport pilot. She left the caffa making to her co-pilot." He slides down into a stretch and gulps some more. "Dad didn't drink it. He drank some sort of nasty tea."

"Most Jedi prefer tea, yes. I just acquired a taste for caffa during the wars, like most of the Jedi that went into it." He chuckles quietly. "Malak was such a caffa addict..."

"Was it always that nasty tasting tea?" Kale asks, finishing off the drink. He then flops against Tobias and puts his feet up on the other arm of the couch. "Don't ask me what it was called, I blocked it from my memory."

He doesn't seem bothered by being flopped against. "It depends on the Jedi; they all drink different kinds of tea. Vrook liked this nasty-tasting tea, though..."

Well, he is manly and comfy like. "It's so very... Jedi like... drinking tea."

And his chest vibrates when he chuckles, like so. "Well, what did you expect? It's generally healthier than drinking caffa. Or it's more enlightened. Or... something."

"Bah. Maybe that's why people go to the dark side, so they can drink caffa and eat junk food." He laughs at that.

"Maybe that's how Rev turned all those people. 'Come to the Dark Side, we have cookies'," he says, laughing.

That gets a snort out of Kale. "You'll have to ask Revan that. I'd like to see his expression."

"He'd probably raise his eyebrow," like Tobias is doing right now, "and say 'Tobias, clearly you went insane during your wanderings in exile.'" Which he says in a very good impression of Revan's voice, thick accent and all.

And this sends Kale off in a giggle fit. For about half a second before he clutches his head and groans from the hangover. "Ow...ow...ow..."
