Kale perhaps stumbles into the basement, limping a little from the fire fight and there's a rip in his jacket and a bleeding cut or two. He's not in too bad shape, but he does look beaten up some. Tobias is behind him, or more like herding him down the stairs from the Nexus. Kale feels vaguely embarrassed for some reason, like he did something wrong. Tobias certainly looks like he did something wrong.

Well, that is a point.

At Tobias' question, he gets a look of concentration on his face as he tries to remember. "Blasters... droids... stormtroopers ... I think the captain." He pauses. "Shit! My stuff! It got destroyed."

"You own captain hit you?" Well, that's interesting. He moves his hands from wound to wound as he finishes healing. "Was any of your stuff irreplacable?"

Kale waved a hand dismissing it. "He sometimes get a bit too enthusiastic in a fight. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time." In game terms it would like rolling two ones. "No, I had the important stuff on me." Like his father's lightsaber, which would be visible now that his jacket is off.

"You should be more careful. Being aware of what's going on with teammates will keep you from getting shot by them."
Tobias opens his eyes and sits back when he's done, and looks to the lightsaber. "That's a handsome 'saber. It was your father's, I guess?"

"I wasn't shot... I was elbowed." He shrugs it off though. Tobias has a point.

"Yeah, one of them. Trever has the other. My father used two."

He wags a finger. "It's still a valid point and you know it."

He smiles a little. "So maybe things aren't so different between your time and mine." Though it's rather eerie that he reminds Kale so much of his father... and they both use(d) two lightsabers.

"Yes, sir." There's a mock salute.

"Well, perhaps not with the Jedi." He picks up the lightsaber and twiddles with it. Kale doesn't know that Tobias uses two lightsabers. Otherwise he would be weirded out.

He rolls his eyes and grins a little lopsidedly. "I won't be having any of that; none of this 'sir' business or the saluting, whether you mean it or not." There's nothing stern in his tone about it.

"And the Jedi have always been the ones that have shaped the galaxy the most." Tobias usually carries three of them with him, which would probably be a factor in figuring that out.

"So, what am I supposed to call you?" He's teasing, mostly.

"You would think that they would have changed over the years," he muses. Well, he couldn't use all three, he doesn't three hands.

"My name, if it's not too much trouble," he teases back.

True. But he could still use two of them or just one, who knows? "Their policies may change, but the organization remains the same."

He goes floppy on the bed. "I could do that."

Perhaps he has a third arm no one knows about! He twiddles his lightsaber. "It's funny... how so much has stayed the same... over... well, how long is there between the two of us?"

Tobias raises his eyebrows at the floppy. "I hoped so."

"I don't know. Revan said it was around four thousand years that separate my time and yours, but I don't know how he knows."

It's a nice comfy bed. Comfy, comfy, comfy. He thinks he might stay there for a while.

"He probably learned in the Nexus, lots of interesting stuff there." He frowns, "Four thousand years... wow."

He smiles a little. "I see you like my bed." Revan had moved it down from one of the guest rooms.

He nods. "It's a long time difference, but like I said. Things don't seem to different."

"It's comfortable." And a couch. Kale is trying to avoid the couch. Couches aren't as comfortable as beds.

"Strange that." He shrugs.

"It's also mine. I haven't been able to talk to Rev about moving another bed down here; he's been... off lately."

He also shrugs. "Then again, I couldn't say how different your Order was from mine, since there isn't one."

Kale grunts at the possession comment, and still doesn't move. He hasn't been told to get off. They're just discussing ownership.

"Hrm...this is true." He fiddles with the lightsaber some more, trying to remember what his father had said about the Order. He then laughs, "Did you have padawans?"

Tobias isn't going to make Kale move until he absolutely has to.

He grins and nods. "I did. Six of them. All of them about your age or older, in fact. I couldn't have asked for better students."

Oh goody. And Kale isn't going to move unless he absolutely has to. Expect bed stealing until he gets his own bed.

"At the same time?" Kale asks, sounding surprised. "My father said it was only one student for one master."

There will be no bed-stealing so long as Tobias is here. He'll forceably move him if he must.

"Only one?" Tobias sounds equally surprised. "That's odd. Most of the masters I knew taught several students at a time. Then again, we didn't learn from just one master."

Then Kale will just have to use the bed when he's not there. Take THAT Mr. Jedi with moving powers.

"From what my father told me, it was just one student to one master. Easier to keep a handle on them or something. He never spoke much about his master." He's quiet for a moment, "Sometimes I think he was glad that the Order was gone... so that he could raise me and Trever."

He nods. "Understandable. Force sensitive children were separated from their parents at an early age, and all contact between them was severed." He smiles, slightly. "I'm a little jealous; I don't remember my father."

"I can't imagine what that would be like." He sits up, crossing his legs on the bed. "How old were you when you were taken to the Temple?"

"About five years or so; that's when most of us were taken to the Temple. I think my mom might have been a Jedi who'd left the Order, since I remember her dropping me off at the enclave on Dantooine."

Kale is silent, thinking about the Jedi. The Order, the Empire. And then about his brother, out there, somewhere. He feels very alone for a long, long moment.
