Being stuck in the house for so long, Kale had learned the quiet rhythms of the house. The sounds of the washing machine and dishwasher, Vina running around trying to destroy everything in sight or dragging around her washcloth. The beeps of the few droids they had around and music when he felt like playing it. He had taken to fixing and improving parts of the house when he was alone just to keep himself busy.
On one such day, when Kale had been refinishing the table that Vina had decided to use as a scratching post, Kale heard a noise in the work room. At first he didn't think too much about it, figuring it was Trever, but then he realized that Trever wasn't there, but still at the Delvar compound. And it wasn't Tobias either.
Pulling out his blaster, he crept to the work room, listening to the sounds. Someone rifled around through the parts, tossing things aside with a clatter. Counting to three, Kale stepped into the door way, pointing his blaster at the intruder.
Then nearly dropped it. Fortunately he managed to recover quickly enough that he didn't lose any momentum. "Zhin-Ja? What the fuck are you doing here?"
"None of your business, thief."
"I'd like to point out that I'm not the one riffling through things that aren't mine." He gestured with his blaster. "Move away from there and keep your hands where I can see them."
Zhin-Ja snorted, "You actually think that'll stop me, you freak?"
Kale fired off a warning shot just Zhin-Ja's toes, causing him to jump. "I said move!"
Slowly Zhin-Ja moved.
"Good boy," Kale said mockingly.
He growled. "You aren't going to do anything to me."
"Why's that?"
"Cause, you're Jedi."
Giving a bark of laughter, Kale flicked his blaster to stun and shot him twice sending Zhin-Ja to the ground. "No. I'm not Jedi." Giving the fallen man a kick, Kale set about tying him up, wondering what he should do with his captive.

"Mess?" That one's new on him.

Vina trotted up to Tobias with a screwdriver in her mouth looking smug.

He slowly lowers onto one knee. "Hello Vina. What's that you've got there?" He holds out his hand.
no subject
Carefully, Vina drops the fine screwdriver into Tobias' hand and then merows at him looking for approval.

He takes the screwdriver and scritches Vina behind the ears. "Good girl."

Happy purry kitty! She did good!

Thought it would explain the echo of Revan's passage that he felt...

Vina, who has learned very quickly which of Tobias' legs was the bad one, scrambles up the good one for a good look around.

"At least he didn't get any of them. Maybe we ought to beef up the security in here; lightsaber parts can be awfully pricey, if you know where to sell. Small, easy to carry..."

"Not that I can tell... of course he's made such a mess that I can't tell yet if anything is missing or not." He looks at another part and grunts. "Might be a good idea."
